Two real workflows live here: refresh your data, then either generate this week's player projections (the active one, in-season) or run a new draft-rankings cycle (on hold now that the season's started, but still here if you need it).

1Data Refresh

Run these four in order, every time you want fresh data. Both workflows below depend on this - skip it and you're working with stale data.

Refresh NFLverse Data can take a few minutes - it re-derives red-zone usage from full play-by-play for 2020-2025. Validate and Publish is what actually writes everything the first three steps pulled into the live database - the other pages on this site won't see fresh data until this step runs for real (Dry run unchecked).

Files with no API source yet (rarely needed)
  • draft_sharks_2026_injury_predictor.csv (injury model - no equivalent API)
  • pff_2025_defensive_component_grades.csv (PFF defensive grades - feeds schedule strength)
  • ffpc_adp.csv (FFPC ADP, if updated - FantasyPros ADP is not FFPC-specific)
  • FantasyPros_2026_Overall_ADP_Rankings.csv (Yahoo ADP - candidate for future API swap)
  • cbs_2026_nfl_injuries.csv (legacy fallback only - superseded first by FantasyPros, now by Tank01; only used if both live feeds are unavailable)
  • FantasyPros_Fantasy_Football_2026_Depth_Charts.csv (still feeds dim_projected_starters_2026's role_competition_score for the season-long ranking model - the live Tank01 depth chart only replaced what feeds the Depth Charts page, not this)

Replace these in data/raw before running Refresh NFLverse/FantasyPros above, if you have updated versions.

2Weekly Projections

The active workflow now that the season's underway. Regenerates floor/median/ceiling and Boom% for every player for the week below, then records a snapshot comparing us against ECR and the real betting market.

Click these two back to back, in order, on the same visit - Capture Weekly Snapshot warns you if the projection it's about to snapshot is more than 24 hours old. Recommended real-world cadence: Saturday night, ~8-9pm ET (injury designations are final and lines have matured for nearly the whole slate by then). This runs automatically every Saturday via a scheduled task even if you forget - see docs/model_backlog.md item 18 if you want to check on it.

Run this once the week's real games are over (nflverse usually has final stats within a day of the last game). Fills in the real "Wk FPTS" column on My Teams for the week above - computed from real box-score stats through your own league's real scoring rules, not an estimate. Running it before games are final just reports 0 rows written - harmless, no need to undo anything.

3Draft Rankings On hold for the season

Only needed for pre-draft prep - not part of the regular in-season routine. Still here in case you need to re-rank for a trade evaluation or a late add. Requires Data Refresh (step 1) to have been run for real first.

Creates a new scored snapshot ("run") - it doesn't go live on the Rankings page until you publish it below.

Refreshes automatically right after Generate Rankings finishes. Pick the run you want live, then publish it below.
